Mostly at this point I’m just trying to get through the edit of SoaD and clear that off my plate. Sooo yeah, a lot of ideas, not enough direction. I’ve also been rolling around the idea for a puntastic YA series featuring a young female superhero. I’m working on the concept for a choose-your-own-adventure style interactive novel, I’ve got a ghost-related novel half written that I’m going to dust off and overhaul, an anthropomorphic fantasy epic I want to resurrect, plus some shortish fairy tail adaptations and two graphic novel/comic book short stories. I have a number of partly-written original short stories I’d like to finish and polish up for magazine submissions, mostly fantasy, magical realism and scifi/horror. I’ve been thinking about writing short stories to put on a cheap pay-per-view site, and since I live in LA I’m also interested in creating some cartoon spec scripts just in case some crazy connection falls into my lap (I mean hey, if you WANT me to work on the next reboot of Teen Titans, who am I to disagree?), and I’m very interested in self-publishing on Amazon since I’m a bit disillusioned by the publishing industry at the moment– and if SoaD has taught me anything, I know at least that I have the stamina to produce and edit large bodies of work.
It’s a little scary, because there are so many directions I could go that it’s hard to decide what would be the wisest to focus on first. Oh gosh, that’s a whole can o’ worms my friend.
